Just a rough little demonstration of the crop on the RED EPIC and therefore applicable to the Scarlet. All shot at exactly same spot with same 50mm lens.
The Epic can record up to 96 FPS in full frame 5K (which is slightly larger than S35), as in using the whole sensor and at a 2.4:1 crop of that up to 120FPS. To get higher FPS you need to drop to 2k.
The highest resolution the Scarlet can do 24p in is the 4K crop, It can do up to 48FPS in 3K (not shown), 60p in 2k and 120FPS in 1K which I have guestimated here.
When underexposed as I am on this shot here, noise in the 2K crop is substantial. When using spot on exposure is essential.
